Shafaqna (International Shia News Association) is one of the main international Shia news-gathering organizations. Over the years Shafaqna has worked to represent the interests of Shia Muslims across the world – offering fair and balanced coverage on most important issues. It extends its coverage to all Islamic and specifically Shia events and activities across the world. In all our endeavors we try to follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), Ali (a.s) and his family (pbut). We will remain devoted to spread the words of the righteous.
Shafaqna absolutely believes in promoting tolerance, multiculturalism, and interfaith cooperation. Beyond our regular news coverage, Shafaqna has worked to develop a series of media projects – mini-documentaries, exclusive interviews, in-depth reports, analysis and scholarly essay on Shia Islam.
Shafaqna is recognized as a news organization close to the Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Sistani. Much of Shafaqna’s progress is credited to its access to the Najaf seminary and it has published some rare photos of the tomb of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his daughter's (Fatima s.a) house.
